Madsen, Shirley Ann

Shirley Ann Madsen, most recently of Fremont, Calif., died Monday, May 30, 2011, of a sudden illness.

Shirley was born March 28, 1946, in Moline, Ill., the youngest child of Carl and Irma Blair.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David L. Madsen; two brothers, Roger (Barbara) Blair of Guanajuato, Mexico, and Alan (Roberta) Blair of Cedar Rapids; two nephews, Daniel (Carrie) Blair of Rock Island, Ill., and Jared Blair of Charlotte, N.C.; and three nieces, Elizabeth Blair of Clear Water, Fla., Tammy (Nataneal) Perez of Spring City, Pa., and Kimberly Blair of Cedar Rapids.

Shirley is also survived by three cousins, Jerry (Linda) Blair of Wallkill, N.Y., Kandra Blair of Cedar Rapids, and Kevin (Karen) Blair of Chicago; a sister-in-law, Margie Blair of Seffner, Fla.; a grandniece, Mahala Blair of Rock Island; and her aunt, Katheryne Haines of Cedar Rapids.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul Blair.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at the kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 2204 26th St. NW, Cedar Rapids.
