Marilyn L. Fuhrmann, 74, of Iowa City, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 8, 2016, at Mercy Iowa City ER. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Iowa City, with Father Jeff Belger officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 11, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, with a rosary at 6 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Marilyn was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Iowa City, the daughter of Vern and Helen (Gilroy) Nash. She was united in marriage to Robert Fuhrmann on July 16, 1966, in Iowa City. Marilyn was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She enjoyed reading and watching Westerns. Marilyn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and her faith was very important to her.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Elizabeth Fuhrmann of Iowa City; brother, Bill Nash of Cedar Rapids; sister, Shirley Frees of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gene and Don Kline.
