Estes, Ruth E.
Ruth E. Estes, 94, of Rushford, Minn., formerly of Ely, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford after a short illness. Per Ruth's request there will be no service or visitation. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Granger, Minn., the daughter of John and Maude Vought Riehl. She married James R. Estes on July 10, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Jim passed away in 2009.
Ruth worked at Cherry Burrell and retied form there after more than 22 years of service.
She enjoyed gardening and the time spent with friends and her beloved family.
Memorial donations may be given to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
