Wright, Joyce Marie
Joyce Marie Wright, 77, of Marshfield, Wis., formerly of Cedar Rapids and Belle Plaine, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at Golden Living Center-Three Oaks in Marshfield. Visitation will be Monday at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, Wis. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hrabak Funeral Home, by the Rev. Jack Andrews. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine. The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home and the Hrabak Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements.
Joyce was born May 10, 1932, in Iowa to the late Ora and Wilma (Ealy) Rupp. She married Raymond D. Wright on March 14, 1950. Joyce was a member of her local AMVETS and was president of her auxiliary. She loved her church and the Lord. She enjoyed doing any type of crafts, working in her flower beds and combing the beaches. Raymond and herself traveled the four corners of the United States and made an adventure out of any gravel road they traveled. She retired from Souvenir Pen and Pencil in Cedar Rapids and then moved to Florida with her husband. She moved to Wisconsin the year after her husband Raymond passed away. Joyce lived at Ann-Auburn apartments in Auburndale, then move to Angelus Assisted Living in Marshfield. Joyce then moved to Golden Living Center-Three Oaks, where she lived on the Country Lane Alzheimer's Unit.
Joyce's family would like to thank all who touched her life and allowed her to live independently.
Joyce was survived by children, Steve (Pat) Wright, Kathy Bryson, Keith Wright, Bruce (Cynthia) Poehnelt and Randy (Sharon) Wright; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Lola Kasal, Nathan (Marty) Rupp, Charlotte McCammant, Marvin Stambaugh, LeRoy Rupp, Denny (Kathy) Rupp, Les Rupp, Greg Rupp, Diane (Kenny) Bair and Rick (Jackie) Rupp.
Joyce was proceed in death by her loving husband, Raymond D. Wright; sister, Margaret Stambaugh; brothers, Paul Rupp and Stanley Rupp; and grandson, Calen Bryson.
Joyce will truly be missed. She was a loyal friend, an awesome mother, a loving grandmother, and sister. All who knew her loved her.
