Jesse Philip Eaton, 34, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, due to severe head injuries suffered after being fatally struck by a car.
Jesse was born Dec. 12, 1979, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Thomas Eugene and Pamela Marie (Miller) Eaton. He grew up a quiet, intelligent and kind young man, who had a shy and ready smile and who was always ready with a witty comment. He enjoyed playing football and wrestling for Jefferson High School. Jesse graduated from Metro High School in Cedar Rapids with the class of 2000. He will always be a beloved son, uncle and brother.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at The First Assembly of God Church, 3233 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, enter through door 2. Burial will be at Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, in a private service.
Jesse is survived by his father, Thomas Sr. of Cedar Rapids; his brother, Thomas (Briana) Eaton Jr. of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; four nieces and nephews; 17 cousins; and his paternal grandfather, Robert Eaton of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela; his paternal grandmother, Rose Ann (Henry) Eaton; and maternal grandparents, Joseph Jasper and Mary (Heman) Miller.
The family is grateful to all of those who have expressed condolences to the family at this time of mourning of a life tragically taken too soon. We know Jesse loved the Lord and we look forward to seeing him again one day. Jesse will live forever through our memories and our love.
