Walter Clarence Cram,
85, passed away Friday,
Dec. 9, 2016, at Willow Gardens Care Center.
Walter was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to parents Cecil and Laura (Surber) Cram. A proud member of the Marines, he served during the Korean War. In 1949, he married the love of his life, Joan Jurgensen. They had six children together. A proud member of the Marion City Council, he served for six years on it. In his later years, he was always found with his canine companion, Reymahn.
Walter is survived by his wife; his children, Barb (Denny) Orr, Judy (Dave) Arnold, Tim (Melanie) Cram and John (Diane) Cram, his 11 grandchildren; and his nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Steve and Mike.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A graveside service will follow.
