James P. Burry, 98, of Glendale, Calif., formerly of the Victor and Cedar Rapids area, passed away peacefully April 5, 2014.
James graduated with the class of 1934 at St. John's parochial school in Victor. He was married to Modene Stroud who passed away after 50 years of marriage.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Beatriz; three stepchildren, Tony, Romando and Rose; and two sisters, Margaret Ringler of Rock Island and Teresa Freshour of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis, Bernard and Don; and many nieces and nephews.
