D. Michael Claney, 54, was born on Sept. 14, 1954 and died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at his home from complication of diabetes. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Cemetery in Clarence.
Survivors include, a son, Chad of Cedar Rapids; his parents Don and Dolores Claney of Clarence; sister Patricia (Douglas) Horton of Cedar Rapids; 2 granddaughters.
Mike was the son of Don M. Claney and Dolores Burrichter. He had worked as assistant manager at True Value Hardware in Cedar Rapids.
