Sac & Fox Trail will connect to Prairie Park Fishery trail in Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS - The city is adding a paved, 900-foot-long connection between a trail head for the Sac and Fox Trail at Fir Avenue SE west to the paved loop trail around the city's Prairie Park Fishery off Otis Road SE.
The connection should be in place by late spring and is expected to cost $138,000. The project also includes some repairs to the fishery's loop trail and the addition of some traffic control bollards.
The City Council approved the project this week. The fishery is an old quarry donated to the city.
