Vinton
Ralph Price Sr., 65, of Vinton, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at his home in Vinton. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, in Oakhill Cemetery, Central City, with Pastor Kurt Brubaker officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., in Vinton.
A memorial fund has been established.
Ralph was born April 29, 1951, to Lewis and Rita (Ankeney) Price in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. On June 8, 1970, he was united in marriage to Mary Lamb in Paris, Iowa.
Ralph enjoyed fishing, collecting plants, going to garage sales and attending the Iowa State Fair. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Price of Vinton; his son, Ralph (Lisa) Price Jr. of Vinton; his grandchildren, Abigail and Alyssa Price and Amanda Engelking; his great-grandson, Bentley Price; his sisters, Mary McAuliffe of Delmar and Shirley (Chet) Sheetz of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
