Caraway, Carl R.
Carl R. Caraway, 43, of 302 Third Ave., Hiawatha, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, in Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 29, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his spouse, Marlys Robinson of Hiawatha; and her children, Corey Robinson of Hiawatha, and Kailyn Robinson of Cedar Rapids; mother, Gloria of Bath, Maine; and brothers, Mike (Sharon) MacKenzie of Norway, Maine, Earl (Dawn) MacKenzie of Pittsburg, Pa., and Matthew Caraway of Cedar Rapids.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Richard; and sister, Cheryl Aswegan.
Born July 18, 1967, in Marengo, Iowa, Carl was the son of Richard and Gloria (Brown) Caraway. He worked as a printer for Norwood Souvenir.
Carl's joys were building planes, remote control cars and boats, camping, canoeing, puzzles, origami and his dog, Jack.
He was an enthusiastic person who was full of life, enjoyed his family and friends and always helped others.
Instead of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Carl's memory.
