Candidate forum set for House, Senate candidates in Johnson County

Eight candidates for four contested Johnson County seats in the Iowa Legislature have been invited to participate in a forum at 2 p.m. Monday at the Coralville Public Library.
Candidates invited are:
' Iowa House District 73: Republican incumbent Rep. Bobby Kaufman and Democrat Jodi Clemens.
' Senate District 37: Democrat Zack Wahls and Libertarian Carl Krambeck
' Senate District 39: Democrat incumbent Kevin Kinney and Republican Heather Hora
' Senate District 43: Democrat incumbent Joe Bolkcom and Republican Patrick Wronkiewicz
The moderator for the forum, sponsored by the Johnson County Task Force on Aging, will be Lyle Muller, executive director of the Iowa Center for Public Affairs Journalism-IowaWatch.org.
Issues that may be discussed include managed care, tax credits, minimum wage, education, child care, workforce issues, mental health, collective bargaining, women's issues, long-term care, elder abuse, home and community services, nursing homes, caregiver support, housing and transportation.
Members of the audience will be able to submit questions in writing during the forum.
