Daniel Ray Robinson, 44, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Thursday, April 27, 2017, after a very courageous battle with heart disease at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Survivors include a daughter, Ashley Robinson of Odenville, Ala.; a sister, Marna Rocarek (James) of Robins; two nephews, Sam and Corey; three nieces, Marlie, Shellsie and Shaidyn; a great-nephew, Ellias; and a grandson, Westin Fields.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Robinson, and father, Ronald Robinson.
Daniel was born May 15, 1972, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1990. He joined the Navy in 1990 and served four years. Daniel spent most of his life installing cable, internet and satellite. He also was a bouncer at DeSoda's Bar.
He loved golf, softball, tennis and bowling he even bowled a 300 game in 2012-2013.
The term most people used to describe him was a great guy! He was very excited to be a grandpa for the first time. He was loved by so many people. He was always about friends, family and helping people out.
He truly is going to be missed by everyone who knew him.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor his memories. The date will be announced through Facebook in a couple of days.
