Anne Margaret Robinson, of Marion, died on April 13, 2018, at age 93.
Anne was born on April 23, 1924, in Riverside, Iowa, to James and Antonia Beranek. After graduating from Riverside High School, she and her sister moved to Cedar Rapids and worked at Killian's and Penick & Ford. On April 5, 1947, Anne married Raymond Robinson at Trinity United Methodist Church. They moved to rural Marion in 1955 where they farmed, made a home and raised their three children. She was a member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.
Immediate survivors are daughters, Debra (Michael) Barron of Marion and Beth Robinson (James Matson) of Madison, Wis.; son, Reagan Robinson of Marion; sister, Mildred (Paul) McIlrath of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Brooke (Brent) Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Hugh and Gwen Nelson of Marion.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1978; and her sister, Velma Coonley.
Visitation will be at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. A private graveside service at Cedar Memorial Cemetery is planned. Memorials may be made to Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.
Anne was an independent woman with a strong work ethic who took pride in her family and her self-sufficiency. May she now find rest after her life's labors.
