Phillips, Theola A.
Theola A. Phillips, 58, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, in Council Bluffs. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Teahen Funeral Home, by the Rev. Bob Dixon and the Rev. Clarence Dameron. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Theola is survived by her husband of 11 years, Ron Phillips of Oakland; daughter, Stephanie Finley of Oakland; sons, Darnell Montgomery of Cedar Rapids, Eion Finley of Little Sandy, Ky., and Tyson Finley of Palmdale, Calif.; brothers, Earl Fleetwood of Louisville, Ky., and Donnie Fleetwood of Cedar Rapids; her sister-in-law and best friend, Sue Fleetwood; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins from Des Moines and Cedar Rapids.
Her newborn son, Aurby James Finely Jr., preceded her in death.
Theola Ann Phillips was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 9, 1952, to Theodore Cooper and Helen Ruth Fleetwood. She loved watching WWE wrestling, Law and Order, and many judge shows on TV. She recently developed a liking for the professional golf tournaments. She loved children and dogs, and prided herself on cleanliness, of both person and household.
She was loved and loving and will be remembered always.
