BARBARA B. (BEBE) MYERS

Barbara B. (Bebe) Myers, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, April 25, 2016, at Hallmark Care Center, Mount Vernon, after a long illness. She was surrounded by family.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Jerry Myers of Cedar Rapids; son, Dann (Donna) of Marion; daughter, Barbara (Greg) of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Lauri Mitchell, Deron (Tina) Myers, Jeremy (Chelsea) Jacobs and Robin Jacobs, all of Cedar Rapids; and four great-grandchildren, Mariah Myers, Anthony Mitchell, Rebecca Mitchell and Addie Kelly.
Barb was born Feb. 25, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Theodore and Barbara (Beatty) Munger. She was raised in Cedar Rapids by her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Beatty. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1951.
Barb was a loving mom and kind friend with a brilliant mind and witty sense of humor. An avid reader and Cubs fan, she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and many "grandpets."
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the nurses and medical staff at Hallmark for their unwavering care and support. Barb loved you all.
A celebration of Barb's life will take place in May at the Hallmark Care facility.
