Theodore L. Kaltenbach, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 8, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Deacon John Winkel. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial: Rogers Grove Cemetery, Ely, Iowa.
Survivors include his former wife, Gloria Kaltenbach; children, LaVerne Theis, Janet Keeney, Donna Kaltenbach, Gordon (Mary) Kaltenbach and John (Jill) Kaltenbach; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Schueller; sister-in-law, Lorraine Kaltenbach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ron Kaltenbach; and siblings, Herb, Robert, Sister Imelda, Elma and Loretta.
Ted was born on Dec. 8, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Gerson and Johanna (Lieble) Kaltenbach. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Ted was a sales representative for 45 years with Binks Manufacturing. He enjoyed music, art and played the harmonica and trumpet.
