Involta acquires Texas company
Dec. 19, 2017 3:16 pm
Cedar Rapids-based data center company Involta has acquired a technology services business in Texas.
Involta announced Tuesday it has purchased Kadium, a software and technology development company based in Dallas. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
'The acquisition will allow us to immediately add new managed services and public cloud offerings that better assist our clients with the challenges they commonly face,” Involta CEO Bruce Lehrman said in a news release.
The purchase of Kadium rounds out a busy year for Involta. The company opened two new data centers in 2017, including one in Pennsylvania and another in Ohio.
It now operates 15 data centers in six states.
Involta also announced in August that it would move its Cedar Rapids offices from downtown to the New Bohemia District in January.
