Wagner, Maxine
Maxine Wagner, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at Winslow Care Center, Marion. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Carroll Brown. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, David (Karolyn) Wagner and Donna (David) Walderbach; four grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Matthew Wagner, Michael Wagner and Raymond (Dawn) Turano; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Lorraine Prastka.
Maxine was born Jan. 17, 1919, the daughter of Allen and Martha (Fleming) Bliss, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On Aug. 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to Donald “Red” Wagner. He died Feb. 15, 1998.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Maxine.
