Hepker, Mariann F.
Mariann F. Hepker, 72, of Coggon, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 2, 2011, at her home near Coggon, Iowa.
Mariann was born on April 30, 1938, in Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Bessie (Izek) Kaufman. She attended the Toledo Schools and was united in marriage to Don Charles Hepker on June 13, 1964, in Davenport, Iowa. She farmed and milked cows in the Center Point area until her husband's retirement from Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids. They then moved to the Coggon area to continue farming on a smaller scale. She loved to gardening, farming and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Don; a son, Rick (Connie) Kaufman of Central City; two daughters, Lisa (Ira) Parizek of Rowley, and Lorie (Jack) McMurray of Hiawatha; a stepdaughter, Valorie Tolefson of Bonaparte; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and four brothers, Melvin (Julie) Kaufman of Winthrop, Leroy Kaufman of Farmington, N.M., Larry (Velma) Kaufman of Center Point, and Gary (Linda) Kaufman of Toddville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Brian
Funeral services were held Feb. 5, 2011, at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Winthrop. Burial will be held at a later date.
