O'Toole, Donna Fae
Donna Fae O'Toole, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil service will be held today at 4 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Friends may also visit Thursday after 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Donna will be greatly missed by her husband of 61 years, Dean; daughters, Karen (Dave) Ackerman, Cindy (Zeke) Bideaux, and Colleen (Tom) Hoxmeier; seven grandchildren, Erika and Kendra Olson, Matthew and Jeremy Bideaux, Lisa Palumbo (Pete Leehey), Jenny (Brian) Novak, and Justin Hoxmeier; eight great-grandchildren, Tatiana, Madison, Kaelyn, Payton, Ralston, Jack, McKenna and Ashlynn.
Donna was born June 9, 1926, in Estherville, to Clarence and Flossie Sanford Amdal, who preceded her in death. She worked as a secretary and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Donna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who dearly loved her family and always thought of everyone else before herself.
The family would like to thank Northbrook Manor Care Center for their loving care during her short stay and to Jenny Hohneke, of Hospice for her care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Donna's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
