Barth, Douglas Neil
Douglas Neil Barth, 60, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at his companion's home in Vinton. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Vinton Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Ronald Sumption officiating.

Doug graduated from Waterloo's West High School, and attended UNI. Doug's innate ability to read people helped him to become accomplished in sales.
Doug enjoyed fishing in Canada or anywhere else, model trains, anything about the Civil War, and watching Brett Farve play football. He spent many hours playing softball for Waterloo area teams when he was younger.
Doug is survived by son, Matthew (Kaycee) Barth, and daughter, Makenna Barth, both of Independence; life partner, Rosemary Schwartz; and second mom, Berniece Schwartz of Vinton.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Charles; and an infant brother.
Memorials can be sent to 603 W Eighth St., Vinton, IA 52349.
