Cramer, Roxie Jane

Roxie Jane Cramer, 56, of Spokane, Wash., formerly of Manchester, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in Spokane from a short illness. Memorial services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 116 Guetzko Ct., Manchester. Pastor David Weber will officiate.

 Survivors include her husband, Roger; children, Jared Cramer (wife Jessie) and Seth Cramer, all of Spokane; and brother, Robert Parker, and sister, Cindy Zebuhr, both of Manchester.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Burton “Spike” and Veda Parker.

Born and raised in Manchester, Iowa, Roxie graduated from West Delaware High School and attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., earning a teaching degree in special education. She also took graduate courses from Drake University while teaching. Roxie and Roger were married for 37 years. They lived in various locations of Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska and for the past 15 years in the Spokane area.

Roxie had many close friends wherever she lived. She was a very talented quilter as well as an avid sports fan, especially enjoying Gonzaga basketball.
