William James "Jim" Jacobs, 80, of Guttenberg, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.
He was born July 6, 1934, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the son of Walter and Charlotte Aulwes.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Jacobs; five children, Jeff Jacobs, Dan Jacobs, Doug Jacobs, Sue Jacobs and Sally (Seth) Gilkes; two grandsons, Noah and Thomas Gilkes; sister, Mary Ford; brother, Walter (Sue) Jacobs; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, 207 S. First St., Guttenberg, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, with a Masonic service at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the United Methodist Church in Guttenberg. The Rev. Michael Jackson will officiate. Friends may call after 9 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Guttenberg City Cemetery.
