Musser, Roberta E.
Roberta E. Musser, 95, of Lone Tree, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Pioneer Park in Lone Tree. Funeral services for Roberta will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Pastor Susan Barnes will officiate. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the United Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.Thursday at Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree.
Roberta Evelyn Forbes was born Feb. 12, 1916, in Dodge Center, Minn., the daughter of Alferd and Fern (McCullough) Forbes. On Oct. 20, 1937, Roberta was united in marriage to Dana Woodrow Musser in Wellman, Iowa. She was a homemaker. Roberta was a charter member of the TTT, member since 1945 and a member of the Moose of Iowa City. Roberta enjoyed sewing, dancing, playing cards, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Roberta will be deeply missed by her children, Al Musser and his wife, Diane, of River Falls, Wis., Judy Campbell of Lone Tree and Deb Brenneman and her husband, Vernon, of Lone Tree; four grandchildren, Rodney Troyer, Matt Tomas, Stacha Reed and Kara Miller; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dana in 1989; one granddaughter, Michele Kasparek; and one grandson, Dana Troyer.
Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice in memory of Roberta.
