Thompson, Delbert Dean
Delbert Dean Thompson, 56, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at his home after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Church of Christ United in Winthrop. Interment Fremont Cemetery, north of Winthrop. Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Surviving are his wife, Kenda of Winthrop; his son, Mitchell, and grandson, Preston, of Independence; his daughter, Candace (Brad) Wurste of Spencer; his sister, Shirley (Darrell) Carpenter of Troy Mills; special family friend, Brittany Thompson of Cedar Rapids; his mother-in-law, Carol Kurtz of Independence; and his father-in-law, William Kurtz and friend Mary of Winthrop.
