Fishel-Keffer, Julie

Julie Fishel-Keffer, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, of a sudden illness at St. Luke's Hospital. A memorial gathering will be held Friday at New Covenant Bible Church on North Center Point Road. The family will greet friends from 2 to 6 p.m. A celebration of Julie's life will be held at a later date.

Julie was born the daughter of Paul and Mina Keffer on July 18, 1952.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mina Keffer; and her brother, Buddy.

Survivors include her sister, Barbara Hough of Cedar Rapids; her children, LuAnn (Chuck) Burns of Marion, Dorothy Fults of Cedar Rapids, Trenton Fults of Cedar Rapids and Ron (Brandy) Varner of Washington, Iowa; grandchildren, who she adored, Rylee Carlson, Devon Hicks and Chelsea and Casey Burns; one niece, Elizabeth Hagerman; and three nephews, William, Paul and Casey Hoff and their children.

Julie will be greatly missed by all her friends and family who loved her so.
