SAGEVILLE, Iowa (AP) - A snowmobile collision has injured two men in eastern Iowa and caused $15,000 damage.
The Dubuque County Sheriff's office says the two snowmobiles collided in a field near Sageville around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Officials say 44-year-old Robert Freiburger, of Mount Vernon, tried to slow down before the accident and slid sideways into the path of 22-year-old Chad Donovan's snowmobile. Donovan is from North Liberty, Iowa.
Both men were thrown from their snowmobiles as a result of the crash. They were treated at area hospitals for nonlife-threatening injuries.
