Joyce A. Jayne, 76, of Center Point, died at Crestview Acres in Marion on Friday, May 2, 2014, after a long illness. Services: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; two sons, Kevin (Linda) and Joel and his significant other, Me-lissa Olsen, all of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Mi-chelle (Roy) Horning of Springville; and a brother, Don (Toni) Floerchinger of Cedar Rapids. She also is survived by nine grand-children and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Joyce was born Dec. 29, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Elroy and June O'Farrell Floerchinger. She married Robert A. Jayne on Aug. 5, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. Joyce worked at Frank Magid and Associates and retired from there after more than 22 years of service. She was a member of the Toddville Free Methodist Church, Open Arms, WMI, Pleasant Valley Resort Red Hat Ladies, a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church, Cards and Fellowship, the Twirling Travelers Square Dance Campers, and a former member of the Eastern Star in Center Point.
Joyce enjoyed covered bridges, turtles, light houses, cooking and baking. Joyce and Bob traveled throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Joyce's greatest love was her family. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
