Muth, Alice D.
Alice D. Muth, 70, of Manor Care in Bettendorf, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center, Bettendorf, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Dwayne) Forgie of LeClaire; three sons, Danny “Peter” (Roxanne) of San Antonio, Texas, and Kelly and Joey, both of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Darrell (Gwen) Russell of Astoria, Ore.; two sisters, LaRita (Bob) Petersen of Lewiston, Ill., and Sally (Jim) Riffle of Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Judy (Alan) Olsen of Fort Myers, Fla.
Alice was born March 24, 1940, in Riverside, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence “Kelly” and Viola Russell. She married Daniel Muth Jr. on April 29, 1962, in Portland, Ore. He died in 2004. Alice had worked at MCI, Century Engineering and most recently at Rockwell-Collins, where she was employed for over 10 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Elks Lodge Auxiliary. Alice enjoyed flower arranging, many different crafts, including beading, but especially the time spent with her friends and beloved family.
Memorial donations may be given to Manor Care in Bettendorf in Alice's name.
