Norman D. Long, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Meth-Wick nursing home following an extended illness. Private services are being held.
Left to cherish Norman's memories are two nephews, Michael (Linda) Barrigar and Don (Diann) Barrigar; and three nieces, Sharon (Robert) Jadrnicek, Linda (Dennis) Krog and Karen (Derald) Dosland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Janet.
Norman was born Dec. 8, 1926, the son of Lowell and Neola (Lindsey) Long. He was an electrician and electrical estimator for Acme Electric. Norman enjoyed boating with Janet, his boxers and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
