Danny Bill Zeman, 61, of Central City, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City, with a Scripture service beginning at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Prairieburg, by Father Wayne Droessler. Burial: St. Joseph's Cemetery, Prairieburg.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; his children, Aaron Zeman and significant other Coreena of Marion and Kelly (Richard) Harris of Alaska; grandchildren, Rice Allen Miller and Elizabeth Harris; his parents, George and Helen; stepsons, Robert Lovell, Richard Lovell and Randy Lovell, all of Prairieburg, James (Jackie) Lovell and Ronald (Jessica) Lovell, both of Central City, and Marty (Michelle) Lovell of Cedar Rapids; 15 stepgrandchildren; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; his sister, Joann (Darryl) Matthews of Tennessee; and his brother, Larry (Sandi) Zeman of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by two twin stepgreat-grandchildren at birth.
Danny was born July 1, 1954, to George and Helen (Kostman) Zeman in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Washington High School and later attended Kirkwood Community College. He worked at the Country Corner Western Store on Mount Vernon Road. He loved fishing, hunting and being with his horses. After 24 years of being together, Danny and JoAnn were married June 23, 2015, in Cedar Rapids.
