Linder, Constance 'Connie' Kern
Constance “Connie” Kern Linder, 62, of Owatonna, Minn., formerly of Belle Plaine, died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn. A celebration of Connie's life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Owatonna Arts Center. Interment will be in the Rice Lake Cemetery, Dodge County, Minnesota. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna.
Memorials are preferred to the Steele County Food Shelf or to the Owatonna Arts Center.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Linder of Owatonna; a daughter, Darcie Linder (Chris Jacobsen) of Shakopee; a son, Doug Linder (Jenny Waltz) of Owatonna; a brother, Ronnie (Maureen) Kern of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Marilyn (Don) Suchy of Raleigh, N.C., Janet Wagner of Cedar Rapids, and Beth (Gary) Lamb of Chelsea; and a grandson, Grady Linder of Owatonna.
Connie was born August 9, 1947, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Lucille (Walton) Kern. She was united in marriage to James “Jim” Linder on Sept. 10, 1966, at the United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine. There they made their home until 1969, when the moved to Normal, Ill., until 1974, when they moved to Owatonna.
