Kevin D. Wallace, 57, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday evening, May 20, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital. A Time of Remembrance will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE. Inurnment: Czech National Cemetery Columbarium.
Kevin is survived by his fiancee, Cindy Andrews; mother, Vera Wallace, Cedar Rapids; sisters, Coleen Seeley and Doreen Wallace, both of Cedar Rapids, and Christine Jordan, Fort Myers, Fla.; niece, Nakkia Wallace; and nephews, Christopher Charles Jordan and Travis Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Wallace; and brother, Gary Wallace.
Kevin was born March 3, 1958, in Cedar Rapids to George and Vera (Klima) Wallace and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School. Kevin had worked as a tractor trailer mechanic for RFK Transportation and ATC Inc.
Kevin was an avid NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed Iowa Hawkeye football games.
Kevin's family would like to thank the nursing staff of 1 West and the Hospice Unit of St. Luke's Hospital for the wonderful care he received throughout his illness.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Luke's Hospice.
