Lerch, Agnes M.
Agnes M. Lerch, 88, of Marion, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Jim Paulson will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and after 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel.
Survivors include her children, Larry Lerch and wife Darlene of Marion, Louis Lerch and wife Marianne of Springville and LouAnn K. Anderson of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Tim Lerch and friend Teri Pierce of Marion, Bill Lerch and wife Kristie of Springville, Matt Lerch of Springville and Kim Learch and fiance Jason Schaffer of Cedar Rapids; and her great grandchildren, Maria Lerch of Cedar Rapids and Dustin Sill of Springville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry W. Lerch; her son-in-law, Randall Ray Anderson; and her brothers, Marvin and Arthur Hinrichs.
Agnes was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Blairstown, Iowa, the daughter of Folkar and Klara (Feddersen) Hinrichs. She married Harry W. Lerch on Dec. 31, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. Agnes loved Hawkeye Basketball, Chicago Cubs and bingo. She played the accordion, harmonica and road in numerous parades throughout the years. Agnes loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and will always be remembered for her famous German cookie, Clusians.
