Dean E. McCleary, 71, of Marion, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center. Services at 1 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment with military rites at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three daughters, Michele (Jay) Lash of Vinton, Shannon (Brady) Hite of Marion and Erin (Rob) Ramoska of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Arlys Huff of Springville; and two brothers, Marland (Carolyn) of Marion and Dayle (Linda) of Springville. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephanie, Matt, Robert, Isaac, Jacob and Reilley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Elijah.
Dean was born April 20, 1945, in Springville, the son of Raymond and Nellie French McCleary. He graduated from Springville High School in 1963. Dean married Patricia E. Roche on June 15, 1974, in Springville. He was an assembly mechanic at C.R. Inc. for more than 45 years, retiring in 2009.
Dean proudly served in the Marine Reserves. Family was very important to Dean. His greatest joys were spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and watching TV. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
