JEANETTE SELK

Jeanette Selk, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Keystone Nursing Care Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at St. John Lutheran Church, Keystone, with the Rev. B. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment will be at Keystone Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.
A memorial fund has been established.
Jeanette was born June 26, 1938, in Williamsburg, to Howard and Frieda (Huedepohl) Jones and graduated from Keystone High School in 1956.
On Sept. 7, 1957, she was united in marriage to Delbert Selk at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone.
Jeanette served as a teacher's aide at Central Lutheran School, where she truly loved working with the children. A member of St. John Lutheran Church, Jeanette taught Sunday school and served on the Altar Guild.
In her leisure, she enjoyed gardening, quilting and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert of Keystone; her daughters, Mary (Rex) Miller of Shellsburg and Linda (Jeff) Krug of Mount Pleasant; her granddaughters, Sara (Travis) Miller, Jill (Brian) Kuhn, Rachel Krug and Tiffany Miller; her great- grandchildren, Zachary Kuhn and Landyn and Kaylee Kintzel; her sister, Dorothy (Dale) Selk; her brothers, Darlo (Betty) Jones, Richard (Judy) Jones and Gary (Mary) Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
