LOREAN MCSHANE

Lorean McShane, 93, of Springville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at Pinicon Place in Anamosa. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Anna Mae Peck. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Lorean was born May 15, 1925, in Buffalo Township, the daughter of August and Rose (Franta) Spacek. She graduated from Joy Illinois High School in 1943. Lorean was united in marriage to Aubrey D. McShane in May 1943 in Keithsburg, Ill. Aubrey passed away on March 24, 2018. Lorean and Aubrey were longtime Linn County farmers. She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing, baking and quilting.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Gladys) McShane of Springville; daughters, Laura (Gary) Hendrickson of Blair, Neb., and Evelyn (Harry) Hart of Milan, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Verger of Platteville, Wis., and Bessie (Bob) Bible of Springville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorean was preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter and grandson.
