JUANITA AILENE (REASON) REED
Alburnett
Juanita Ailene (Reason) Reed, 82, of Alburnett, died of heart complications Monday, March 28, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion by the Rev. John Keizer. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at the funeral home. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville.
Survivors include eight children, Patsy (Dale) Strand of Toddville, Danny (Ellen) Reed of Locust Grove, Ga., Pam (David) Kirk, Peggy Hull, David Reed, Robin (Randy) Morrison, Roger (Kim) Reed and Avery (Lynn) Reed, all of Alburnett; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard "Bud" Reason of South Carolina; many nieces and nephews; and last but not least her beloved, "Missi."
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald.
Juanita was born April 7, 1933, the daughter of Ralph and Wilma "Lucille" (Bradley) Reason, in Creston, Iowa. On June 26, 1948, she married Donald Frank Reed in Creston. He passed away Oct. 20, 2007. As a longtime active member of the United Methodist Church of Alburnett, she enjoyed serving her church and community. Juanita held a fondness for gardening. She loved watching the flowers bloom. But above all, her heart was full of love and for her love was spelled "FAMILY."
Memorials may be directed to the Alburnett United Methodist Church, Alburnett Historical Society, Children's Cancer or JDRF in Juanita's memory.
