Robertson, Marylyn Lea

Marylyn Lea Robertson of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. There will be no visitation or services according to Marylyn's wishes. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Marylyn was born to Harvey D. and Edna Bluedorn and grew up in Walcott, Iowa, with eight brothers and sisters. She worked for many years as a nurse for Evergreen Estates 3 in Cedar Rapids, until her retirement.

She is survived by three sons and their families, Thomas (Tonya) Johnston, Mathew Robertson and fiance Leann and Sullivan Robertson and Brenda Hejda; grandchildren, Brea, Brenna, Olivia, Jay, Jacob, Morgan, Sarah, Cassidy and Jack; great-grandson, Carson; sisters, Carol Weiler (Bob), Rose Fischlein (Don), Debrah Kirby (Micheal); and brothers, Bill Bluedorn (Vicky), Harvey Bluedorn (Laurie) and Eugene Bluedorn.

Also are many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Bluedorn; and sister, Edna Fleagle; as well as her beloved husband of more than 40 years, William “Jack” Robertson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Comfort Care and Meals on Wheels program for assistance over the past year so she could live independently as she always wanted.

A memorial fund has been established by the family.
