Gill, Christopher Logan
Christopher Logan Gill, 23, of Cedar Rapids, flew with the angels Friday, Nov. 9, 2012. A visitation will be held Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Private family services will be held.
Logan is survived by his loving mother, Beth; brothers, Zachary of Coralville, and Tanner, at home; grandparents, Robert and Lois Klatt of Cedar Falls; uncles and aunts, Brett (Michelle) Klatt of Bloomington, Ill., and Bea (Dr. Dan) Lommell of Geneseo, Ill.; great aunt, Peg Coleman of Cedar Falls; many cousins; father, Christopher Gill; and grandparents, Marilyn and John Gill. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; and beloved dog, Meggers.
Logan was born May 12, 1989 in Topeka, Kan. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School. He shared a home with his friends at White Ivy House. He was a big sports fan and his favorites were bowling, golf, and football. His favorite team was the Iowa State Cyclones. He was an outstanding gold medalist at Special Olympics. He enjoyed Wii video games, Mexican food, playing with Meggers, music, and shopping. He liked Cyclone red and gold and hoped for a turquoise bowling ball and shoes at Christmas. He liked sports cars and tire swings. Because he was always conscious of looking dapper for the ladies, he enjoyed Sports Clip haircuts for men only and had great fashion sense.
The family would like to thank the staff at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics at 4JPE, Marengo Memorial Hospital, and Harmony House for their excellent care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the ARC of East Central Iowa or Special Olympics.
Online condolences may be directed to under obituaries.
