Kimberly Ann Tannehill, 55, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, in Michigan. Services: 3 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Cedar Memorial Certified Celebrant Jim Coyle. A visitation will be held on Thursday from
4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Ted J. Tannehill; her son, Ryan (Alyssa) Tannehill of Kalamazoo, Mich.; her parents, Harold and Patricia Burkhart of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Douglas (Lori) Burkhart of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Aiden Tannehill and soon to be Landon Tannehill; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, her sisters and her grandparents.
Kimberly was born Aug. 30, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Patricia (Moline) Burkhart. She married Ted J. Tannehill on June 26, 1999, in Solon, Iowa. Kimberly was office manager for the Dan Coleman Group in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed shopping for the perfect gifts for her family and friends, organizing parties and always cheering up everyone she knew. She loved spending time with family and loved her cats dearly. Kimberly was a strong person taking control of situations and bringing organization and calm amid the chaos.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
