Steven Castleberry, 59, of Kiowa, Colo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died at the home of his son in
Albuquerque, N.M., on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Celebration of Life services will be noon Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Steven was born Sept. 18, 1955, in Sacramento, Calif., the son of Daniel and Jean (Stephenson) Castleberry. He was a graduate of Cedar Rapids Kennedy as well as received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa in 1986. He served in the United States Air Force in para-rescue for over 16 years. He spent his last eight years working in the organic farming industry after many years in corporate America.
Steven is survived by his children, Gregory (Erica) Castleberry of Albuquerque, N.M., Amanda Castleberry and Sarah (D.J.) Harshey, both of Alamogordo, N.M., Avery Castleberry, Micayla, Nicholas and Baileigh Harshey; his parents, Dan and Jean of Robins; siblings, Vickie (Frank) Edwards of Ankeny, Cindy (Kurt) Anderson of England, Connie (David) Ostroot of Cedar Rapids and Douglas (Erinn) Castleberry of Carlisle.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Deborah Stuefen and Nancy Coleman-Castleberry.
