Geraldine "Lucy" Drake, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Private burial services will be held for the family in Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa.

Geraldine Louise Johnston was born on Dec. 11, 1937, in Anamosa, the daughter of William and Stella (Coleman) Johnston. She graduated from Anamosa High School in 1956. On Dec. 1, 1957, she married Donald R. Drake at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Anamosa. He died in 2008. The couple made their home in Cedar Rapids and Geraldine worked for the Linn-Mar School District. She retired in 1995.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, doing various crafts and shopping. Above all else, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those remembering her are her sons, Dan (Kim), Loveland, Ohio, Mike, Marion, Steve (Deb), Marion, and Monte (Karie), Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers and sisters.
Memorials in her honor may directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.
