Adrian Christopher Melsha, 31, of Goldsboro, NC, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away at his home residence in North Carolina, Friday, September 4, 2009.
Services: 2 pm Thursday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel by the Rev. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. A visitation will be held after 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Kenneth (Kim) Melsha of Manchester and Starrene Haefner of Marion; grandparents, Sharon (Donald) Haefner of Vinton and Virginia (Don) Gabel of Hiawatha; and fiancé, Melanie Ellis of Goldsboro, NC.
Adrian was born January 4, 1978 in Cedar Rapids. He was an Army veteran, serving in Iraq for over 18 months. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Adrian was expecting his first child, Isabella Adrianna Melsha, in November. He loved playing his guitar and working with computers.
