Clossen, G. Frances
G. Frances Clossen, 88, of Maquoketa, formerly of Marion, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Frances is survived by her children, Cynthia Cox of Cedar Rapids, Constance Fretaig of Marion, Catherine Hansen of Point Charlotte, Fla., and Steven Clossen of Maquoketa; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Marshall.
Frances was born Jan. 28, 1923, in Wapello County, to Ray and Anna Wiggins. She worked for the city of Marion for many years, retiring in 1985.
She was an avid quilter in the Maquoketa Quilting Club and enjoyed her time spent with friends at the Maquoketa Senior Center.
