Verla Toletha Franks Whitaker, 80, of Manchester, entered into God's hands on Monday, July 30, 2012.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Manchester by Rev. Randy Pospisil. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Toletha is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carl of Manchester; five children, Tony Whitaker of Iowa City, Debra (John) Clute of Ames, Jody (Houston) Holloway of Carrollton, Texas, Chris (Dan) McDowell of Manchester, and DeAnn (Mark ) Hennigs of St. Joseph, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one on the way.
