Shirley J. Rosene, 88, of Independence, formerly of Rowley, died Saturday morning, May 21, 2016, at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center's West Campus in Independence.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Rosene, Independence; three children, Bruce (Cathy) Rosene, Rowley, Lynnette (Marshall) Lantz, Cedar Falls, and Connie (Ron) Bergman, Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one niece, Patty Schabo.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Frances Trumbauer and Erma Schabo.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, with the Rev. Lisa Thedens officiating. Inurnment will be in Rowley Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Thursday at the funeral home.
