Bernice L. Kovar, 104, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Heritage Specialty Care. A visitation will start at noon Thursday, Jan. 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bernice was born Nov. 30, 1913 the daughter of Earl and Lottie (Millburn) Meskimen.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Park Kovar; sons, Robert and John Pavelka; and brother, Bill Meskimen.
Left to cherish Bernice's memories are grandchildren, Dayna (Barry) Houser and Randy Pavelka; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be sent to Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids.
