Murphy, Nicholas T.
Nicholas T. Murphy, 96, of Iowa City, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at Crestview Nursing & Rehab Center in West Branch. Nicholas chose to be cremated. No services will be held. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service is handling arrangements.
He was born June 4, 1914, in Iowa City. Nicholas married his best friend, Jean Stephens in 1941 in West Virginia. He was an industrial engineer for 30 years, retiring in 1965.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean; one brother; and two sisters.
